Gobi Desert Expedition

MOTION

STILLS

On Location

  • Gobi Desert (Mongolia)

Project Brief

One hundred years after Roy Chapman Andrews’ historic expeditions that led to the discovery of the world’s first fossilized dinosaur eggs, Fisher Creative joined the Explorers Club Hong Kong Chapter, Mongolian paleontologists, and technology specialists on a modern Flag Expedition across the Gobi Desert.

Guided by a philosophy of collaboration over conquest, the multidisciplinary team retraced Andrews’ routes through a contemporary lens—combining paleontology, advanced imaging technologies, and cinematic storytelling to expand scientific understanding while documenting one of the most ambitious desert expeditions of the modern era.

The expedition’s scientific and collaborative achievements were recognized with the Explorers Club Citation of Merit, one of the organization’s highest honors for exceptional achievement in exploration and scientific collaboration.

Supported by Infiniti Motors and advanced imaging tools previously used by NASA, the expedition navigated extreme heat, sandstorms, and remote terrain to uncover new fossil evidence while producing both scientific and branded storytelling outputs. You can check out our film about the expedition here.
