Gobi Desert

In June 2018, the Explorers Club Hong Kong chapter joined forces with the Mongolian Academy of Sciences in a “collaboration over conquest” approach to exploration to lead a multidisciplinary team of scientists and adventurers over 1,500 miles across the formidable Gobi Desert. their aim was to revisit and expand upon the original Roy Chapman Andrews expeditions of the 1920’s that produced the world’s first fossilized dinosaur eggs. The film follows the team as it makes groundbreaking advances in paleontological discovery through the use of advanced mapping and imaging technologies previously only used by NASA.
