During the winter of 2011 Alaska was pummeled with snow leading to one of the most epic winter seasons on record. In this image, professional skier Todd Ligare makes the first descent of the winter down the iconic Pyramid Peak. Bottomless perfect powder, stable conditions, and truly arctic temperatures hovering close to -30 degrees Fahrenheit combined at sunset for what was one of Todd's best ski descents of his life.
